On the West Highland Way

walkers & cyclists welcome

We are the first stop on the West Highland Way, just 7.5 miles from the start at Milngavie. It takes about 2 & 1/2 hours to reach us, but obviously depends on your pace. The John Muir Way cycle route also passes us.

On a dreich day it’s a welcome stop to warm up with a hot drink & food. On a sunny day it’s great to rest your feet with with a nice cold drink & some food in the garden.

We try to do a lot for our walkers. We also sell a range of T-shirts & Rustic woods if you would like a souvenir of your walk at the Beech Tree or online at The Inn Shop

The first thing you will see is our wee poem.

We have made some rustic wood log seats on the Way so people can have thier picnics as unfortunately we can’t allow them in our garden as we serve food.

We have even put a map for both walks for your information, it gives details of the miles between each stop, camping information, etc.

We we obviously let you use our toilets, however it does cost us money, as we have a septic tank, toilet rolls, etc, so we do ask if you make a donation to the local Lomond Mountain Rescue if you aren’t purchasing anything.

These are some of our products you can purchase at the Beech Tree or online
