The Horsfields Tortoise

Born on the 7th Sept 2018 in Uzbekistan.

Horsfields are small in size & range from 13 to 25cm. They have 4 toes & have a life span of about 75 years.

A group of tortoises is called a creep, but you won’t see a creep very often as tortoises do not get lonely. they tend to be solitary roamers.

Tortoises are usually herbivourous & can’t swim, but they can hold their breath for a long time.

They’re extremely tolerant of carbon dioxide. They have to empty their lungs before they can go into their shells
