Hortie, our Tortoise is in the garden over the summer months, but we bring her in over the winter months to keep her cosy

The Horsfields Tortoise Born on the 7th Sept 2018 in Uzbekistan.

DID YOU KNOW… Horsfields are small in size & range from 13 to 25cm. They have 4 toes & have a life span of about 75 years. A group of tortoises is called a creep, but you won’t see a creep very often as tortoises do not get lonely. they tend to be solitary roamers. Tortoises are usually herbivorous & can’t swim, but they can hold their breath for a long time. They’re extremely tolerant of carbon dioxide. They have to empty their lungs before they can go into their shells
