Monday – Friday – 11am until 5pm (last orders for food 3.30pm)
Saturday & Sunday – 11am until 7pm (last orders for food 5.30pm)
Please book your table in advance as we may need to change our opening hours to make it cost effective to run a service due to the weather, bookings, etc.
If there is no-one in at our last orders time, we will close early as we have to keep it cost effective for the business.- Please just phone ahead to avoid disappointment.
The restaurant & garden are both open, but you do need to book a table & wear Face Masks as we are a licenced premises.
Inside the premises we can now offer full table service & are using plates. Some people prefer to use the app & order themselves so we can do either. You will be offered the choice when you are seated.
Our food in the garden is all ordered by you via the app, all you need to do is scan the QR code, but don’t worry – we are on hand to help you. This stops queuing at the bar to order & helps keep everyone safe. The food will be served in Eco Friendly takeaway boxes, this ensures no contamination whilst your food is being transported out to you as we may need to pass several people on route to you & it also keeps your food warmer for you. We have also reduced our prices to reflex this
It will be a different service to what we normally provide as our main aim is to keep everyone safe before anything else.
Please see below the sample menu, although the version online is up to date with any specials, etc.

The Beech Tree Inn
Not just a restaurant….
The Beech Tree Inn is a family restaurant and bar situated just north of Glasgow at the foot of the landmark Dumgoyne Hill.
What makes the Beech Tree Inn so special? The Inn combines a country setting with good comfort food, good service, a large family garden with kids play area, lots of animals, & a small gift shop with baby bibs, rustic woods, t-shirts, etc. We hand cut & hand paint all of our rustic woods collection, & we print the T-shirts & Bibs here too. The menu is wide-ranging and accessible to all tastes. Our staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. We have customers who have been coming for years, and many more new faces since our extensive improvements to the facilities and menu. We welcome everyone, from families to solitary walkers, cyclists, courting couples to lunching ladies.
The animals you can see at the Beech Tree are Pygmy Goats, Ducks, Rabbits, Sheep, Chinchillas, Guinea Pigs, Mini Shetland Ponies, Tortoise, Tropical fish, Goldfish, Quails & Aviaries with mixed Birds
This video shows you a bit of what you will find at the Beech Tree, however we are constantly making improvements so it is slightly different now.
At the Beech Tree Inn, we offer a wide choice of dishes from around the world, and a range of speciality beers & fine wines, at value-for-money prices. We source our food as locally as possible to make our home cooked bar food. We have a selection of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free dishes which are clearly marked on the menu for your ease of reference. The menu is served throughout the premises whether you are more comfortable in the bar, snug or conservatory and is refreshed and updated every 2-3 months.
We do down-to-earth dining at the Beech Tree, not fine dining, we just want to provide the best quality of comfort bar food, at value for money prices.
We are child friendly and offer a special extensive menu for kids to encourage healthier eating, whilst continuing to cater for the old favourites too.
We don’t allow dogs inside for environmental health reasons, however we welcome dogs in the garden. All dogs must be on a lead, for the safety of children running around & our animals. We have provided a fresh water bowl at the front door for them to have a drink
